Apple ships Siri AI with personal context and onscreen awareness

What happened
Apple has released the next generation of Apple Intelligence, headlined by Siri AI: a rebuilt assistant with personal context understanding, onscreen awareness and systemwide app actions across iPhone, iPad, Mac and Vision Pro. It rolls out today in English beta, gains a dedicated Siri app that syncs conversations across devices, and adds Visual Intelligence, integrated Writing Tools and advanced on-device dictation.
Why it matters
Frontier-style assistance is now preinstalled on the devices your staff already carry, and it reaches into personal messages, emails and photos as readily as work ones. That sharpens the BYOD question for UK organisations: personal-context assistants blur the line between private and company data on a single device, and staff expectations of AI as a default will rise accordingly.
